STARDUST IGP LAZIO BIANCO

Stardust was born in 2016 with the Federico’s desire to experiment with a blend of all white grapes that ultimately became a tribute to the recently deceased genius, David Bowie. It is made from 50% from slightly overripe Sauvignon grapes and, for the remaining 50%, from a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia Puntinata, a blend typical of the Castelli Romani area. Hand harvested in the second half of August for the Sauvignon (which is vinified separately); after a month the harvest and the vinification of Trebbiano and Malvasia are carried out. Subsequently the final blend is made. This is a fresh and delightful wine, with notes of crisp apple, lemon and mineral.

About Federico Artico:
Azienda Agricola Artico was born around the end of the 90s with the acquisition of small plots of land in the area of ​​Aprilia and Colli Lanuvini, exactly on the border between the Roman countryside and the Pontine countryside. The old vineyards were immediately removed and cuttings of the best clones of international and native varieties were planted. Since 2012, the first winemaking experiments have begun with a small selection of the best grapes driven by the desire to produce wines that fully represent the peculiarities of the Lazio region. Soils rich in minerals, selected vines, optimal exposure but above all a continuous and rigorous work in the vineyard, with particular attention to pruning that is carried out following the Simonit & Sirch system, are the basis of their wines.
